Gynecology and obstetrics specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayçağ Yorgancı was born in Ankara in 1969. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College, he entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. In 1992, after successfully graduating from medical school, she started to work as an assistant doctor in Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the same year. In 1997, he earned the title of specialist-operator doctor. In 1998, she was appointed as chief assistant to Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic. In 2000, she worked as a clinical observer for 6 months on sexually transmitted diseases at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the United States of America with a scholarship from the Ministry of Health. After 17 years of working at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, she continued her work as chief assistant to Dr. Sami Ulus Women’s Health, Child Health and Diseases Hospital in 2016 and then to Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital in 2017. With the opening of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, he continued his studies in this institution since 2019. In 2022, he gained the title of Associate Professor in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was appointed as a lecturer. In 2023, he retired and started working at Private Lokman Hekim Akay Hospital. In 2024, he left there and started working part-time at HC International Clinic and in his own practice.
His special interests are urogynecology (diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, female pelvic organ prolapse), genital aesthetics, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, sexually transmitted diseases. She speaks English at an advanced level. She is married and has two children.
