Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayçağ Yorgancı, a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, was born in Ankara in 1969. After completing her primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College, she was admitted to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. After successfully graduating from medical school in 1992, she started working as an assistant doctor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in the same year. She earned the title of specialist-operator in 1997. In 1998, she was appointed as chief assistant at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital. In 2000, she worked as a clinical observer on sexually transmitted diseases for 6 months at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the United States, on a scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of Health. After 17 years of service at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, she became a doctor in 2016. She worked at Sami Ulus Women’s Health, Child Health and Diseases Hospital and then continued her work as a chief assistant at Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Training and Research Hospital in 2017. With the opening of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital, she continued her work there from 2019 onwards. In 2022, she earned the title of Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was appointed as a lecturer. She retired in 2023 and started working at the Private Lokman Hekim Akay Hospital. In 2024, she left there and started working part-time at HC International Clinic and in her own private practice. Her areas of special interest are urogynecology (diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, female pelvic organ prolapse), genital aesthetics, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and sexually transmitted diseases. She is fluent in English. She is married and has two children.
