Radiology is the use of X-rays and other imaging methods for medical diagnosis and treatment. Some of the methods used for diagnosis and treatment include ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine methods, positron emission tomography (PET), mammography, fluoroscopy, and other methods utilizing X-rays. The use of these methods for diagnostic purposes involves detecting diseases through images obtained via medical imaging, while their use for treatment purposes ensures certain surgical procedures are performed with less harm through the assistance of imaging methods.
In our center, which keeps up with technological advancements, imaging is performed using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR). When deemed necessary, CT and MR can also be performed under anesthesia in our center. In addition, CT enterography, MR enterography, virtual colonoscopy, direct radiography, ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound examinations, mammography, and interventional procedures guided by ultrasound and tomography are carried out.
